Biography

Gwen Muse-Evans is an accomplished Senior Executive, Entrepreneur, and Board Member with more than 30 years of success in the financial services, banking, housing, risk management, and mortgage banking industries.  Gwen is currently the President and CEO of GME Enterprises, a management consulting firm that specializes in providing risk management, operations management, strategic planning and housing finance advisory services to corporate, nonprofit and government clients.  The firm offers solutions for late-stage start-ups and established companies that are seeking expert assistance with establishing a strategy for growth, regulatory matters, risk management or market and economic changes.  Gwen has extensive knowledge of the housing finance industry, expertise in the discipline of Enterprise Risk Management, and demonstrated experience implementing risk management programs including governance and compliance programs.

Throughout Gwen’s career, she has served as a valued consulting resource to resolve complex issues associated with business and market challenges.  She was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for the Credit Portfolio Management and Single Family businesses at Fannie Mae where she served from 2001 until 2014.  She provided direct leadership for numerous strategic initiatives that yielded broad impact through national implementation including the Home Valuation Code of Conduct, the Home Affordable Refinance Program and the Home Affordable Modification Program.  Prior to 2001 Gwen served in several corporate executive roles including at JPMorgan Chase, GE Capital Mortgage Services and Household Financial Services.  Gwen currently serves on two nonprofit Boards of Directors.  Her areas of focused service relate to advancement and empowerment of women and children, the development of solutions to eliminate homelessness and introducing quality financial literacy education in schools and community organizations.  Gwen earned her MBA in Finance from Rutgers University, a BBA from Pacific Lutheran University, is a Certified Enterprise Risk Professional and a Certified Project Management Professional.

Awards and Recognitions:  Gwen is the recipient of the 2018 Meritorious Service Award from the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, the 2017 Renaissance Woman Award from the National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses and the 2017 National Women’s Small Business Governor’s Citation from the Governor of the State of Maryland.
