Susan Alley

Susan Alley is the founder and CEO of Appraisal Aid. After earning her B.S. in Business with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate, she went on to accumulate 28+ years of diverse experience in the Real Estate industry. Before obtaining her first Certified Residential license in 1998, she was both a loan officer and real estate agent. She is now certified in 18 states and an AI-RRS.

After starting an appraisal firm in 2000, she discovered a passion for training and educating coupled with a strong desire to make a positive impact on our industry. In 2014 the breadth of her experience expanded when accepting the position as the founding appraiser in the compliance department of a large AMC. She developed their USPAP compliance review form and assisted in setting up systems and processes.

In 2017, Alley Review Services was founded, specializing in USPAP compliance reviews.  Appraisal Aid evolved when review services were expanded to include opining on overall quality and strength of the reports and mentoring.  The belief being, that feedback assists appraisers in improving the quality and compliance of their reports.
